Two recent cookbooks demonstrate a trend that’s becoming more popular with those who have little time to cook, yet still want to put something fresh and delicious on the dinner table. They are “The Harvest Eating Cookbook” (Running Press, $29.95) by PBS chef Keith Snow and Giada at Home (Clarkson Potter, $35) by Food Network celebrity Giada De Laurentiis.

On July 13th we had a live canning demonstration that I hosted….Emily from The Front Burner was one of the rising star food bloggers attending the event, a very nice girl with culinary training and some web awards for her outstanding blog. Her site is loaded with great recipes and other food related information, especially photos.

On July 13 I was in charlotte NC working on behalf of Jarden Home Brands makers of Ball branded fresh preserving products and did several media events. One was Fox News Rising, a local morning show that airs in Charlotte NC. Here is the video from the segment
[ July 11, 2010; 1:00 am to 3:30 am. ] I will once again appear in NYC this summer, July 10th at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx to do a few demonstrations at the Edible Garden Event. I am being presented by Anolon and will be signing books and cooking up some great summer dishes.
