The Demise Of Fake Meats and Lab Created Protein Accelerates

The fake meat sector has recently been grappling with a concerning trend of declining sales and mounting bankruptcies. Despite the initial surge in consumer interest and high-profile endorsements, the allure of meat alternatives seems to be waning. Several factors contribute to this downward spiral. Firstly, the novelty factor has worn off, as consumers are increasingly seeking more authentic gastronomic experiences. Furthermore, the exorbitant pricing of fake meat products has deterred cost-conscious individuals from incorporating them into their regular diets.

The allure of fake meat has been heavily touted by media outlets, NGO’s, goverment officials, activits and influencers as well as unelected groups the planet over in an attmpt to shift consumer demand away from real farm raised measts to these frankenfoods. In most cases the climate crisis is cited as the reason we need to embrace “science” and shift our purchasing behavior and grocery dollars towards these companies. Fueled by cheap capital and angel investors, these companies experienced a meteoric rise in recent years but the gig is up, and consumers are walking away en mass. Good riddance I say.

As a result, numerous companies focusing on fake meat production have faced financial hardships, struggling to sustain their operations in an increasingly competitive landscape. If the fake meat sector fails to address these mounting challenges, it risks fading into obscurity as consumers return to traditional meat-based diets. Add to all of this the fact that fake meat substitutes just don’t taste very good and have strange textures.
