Enjoying Spring Asparagus
Spring asparagus are certainly one of my favorite things to eat. They are quite versatile and healthy too. On this page is a great recipe for asparagus goat cheese pizza and a video below featuring several of my favorite ways to enjoy asparagus. Asparagus Goat Cheese Pizza

Ingredients:
- 1 recipe of your favorite pizza dough, rolled and shaped, ready for toppings
- 6 ounces fresh goat cheese chevre
- 1 cup shredded Fontina cheese
- high-quality extra virgin olive oil
- 2 1/2 cups blanched asparagus tips
- finely minced garlic cloves
- basil chiffonade (basil leaves cut into ribbons)
Method:
- place pizza stone in oven and PREHEAT oven to 450 degrees
- place dough on your pizza peel and brush surface with extra virgin olive oil
- place garlic on the surface of the dough
- crumble goat cheese on the dough, then toss on Fontina
- arrange asparagus tips on pizza, then drizzle with olive oil and toss on basil
- bake until edges are crispy
Chef's Note: Allow this pizza to cool down to room temp before enjoy, your patience will be rewarded!
